The Browne Amplification Carbon X pedal is a dual Carbon overdrive, with a 3-way hi-cut switch on one side, soft-switching, adjustable startup state, and an internal switch for use with a looper.

To use Carbon X with a Loop Switcher (like the RJM Mastermind, etc.), there is a switch inside the pedal that needs to be flipped to the 'Split' position. To use it this way:

• The TRS plug on the input acts as the loop for the right side.
• The TRS plug on the output acts as the loop for the left side.
• 'Tip' is the input/send from your loop.
• 'Ring' is the output/return to your loop.

Q & A:

Can I change the start-up state of my switches?
Yes… each switch can be adjusted to be 'ON' or 'OFF' at start-up, by holding down the switch for 10 seconds, while plugging the pedal into power.

Why is the right side of the pedal output lower than the left side?
Carbon X was designed to work as a stackable pedal. The reason for the lower output right side, is simply because the left side of the pedal has all of the output needed, and the right side is designed to stack into it. This isn't your typical 2-in-1 type pedal… it was purposefully designed this way.
